About the role

You'll own field production across every Third Eye site. Rough-in and finishing will move at a pace we can predict, and the estimating team will be using your real production rates to price the next job. You'll report to the VP, work directly with the project coordinator, and have the foremen on every site reporting to you.

What you'll do

• Own manpower across all active sites: forecast crew needs from the schedule, move people between projects, and keep the apprentice-to-journeyman mix workable on every job
• Lead the foremen: set weekly production targets, walk sites regularly, and coach the ones who need it
• Track labour hours against estimates by phase and project, and raise it early when a job is drifting
• Standardize how we build: rough-in sequencing, prefab and material staging, QC gates, and closeout, so every site runs the same way
• Feed real production rates and lessons learned back to estimating so the next bid reflects how we actually build
• Plan around apprentice school blocks, vacations, and absences so no site gets caught short
• Own field safety with the foremen: hazard assessments, toolbox talks, incident follow-up, and a culture where people speak up
• Sit in on hiring, promotions, and performance conversations for field staff

What you bring

• Alberta Journeyman Electrician certificate with Red Seal endorsement
• 5+ years in electrical construction with at least 3 years running crews as a foreman, general foreman, or superintendent
• Experience with multifamily or commercial construction: rough-in, service and distribution, fire alarm, and finishing
• Has tracked labour hours or productivity against an estimate and acted on the numbers
• Comfortable with spreadsheets
• Valid Alberta driver's licence; you'll be on sites across Calgary most days

Nice to have

• Experience with prefab or assembly-line approaches to suite rough-in
• Experience working with project schedules (AutoCAD)
• Prior involvement in estimating or change-order pricing

You'll own the electrical scope on a multifamily site, running a crew day to day and answering for the schedule, the quality, and the safety of the work.

What you'll do

• Own the electrical scope on your site: plan the work, sequence it with the other trades, and keep the schedule honest with your PM and the builder's super
• Run a crew of 8–20 journeymen and apprentices day to day: assignments, hours, quality, and safety
• Read drawings and specs, catch conflicts early, and flag changes and extras before they become arguments
• Order material and manage stock on site so nobody waits on parts
• Walk your own work ahead of inspections and lead the deficiency closeout so the punch list stays short
• Train apprentices on the tools and the code, and give straight feedback that helps people advance
• Keep the site safe: toolbox talks, hazard assessments, and a crew that goes home the way they came in

What you bring

• Alberta Journeyman Electrician certificate with Red Seal endorsement
• 2+ years leading a crew of 5 or more on a construction site, as a foreman or lead hand
• Experience with multifamily or commercial construction: rough-in, service and distribution, fire alarm, and finishing
• Comfortable reading electrical drawings and specs and coordinating off a construction schedule
• Valid Alberta driver's licence and reliable transportation to sites across Calgary
• Current CSTS and First Aid, or willing to get both before start

Nice to have

• Experience with wood-frame suite builds
• Hands-on approach
• Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform
• Prior experience training or mentoring apprentices

• Registered (or eligible to register) as an electrician apprentice with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training
